Lacy Williams is one of my favorite authors. I love her stories and her characters become like friends. I've been known to stay up all night just to read one of her books and still have energy to work the next day.
This book was well written and had an interesting story line. The author did a great job writing about the story setting with many details. The characters were fun to read about and as their lives were weaved together I enjoyed the story a great deal.
What a wonderful continuation of this amazing series.I have loved everyone of these books and stayed up late with each one because I couldn't put them down.This was one of my favorites of them all.
I loved the plot and the outcome. I wanted a little more reality though. I have been there and done that as far as the horses and cooking for a hunting camp. I have went on one or two cattle drives and they were short. My husband took me on horses hunting almost every year. It was always an experience. And I loved it all.This story closely recalled a lot of memories for me.
A reluctant but gallant hero and a runaway determined to protect her sister collide in a touching story set in the hills of Wyoming. Edgar has one goal--get his father's cattle to their buyer by the appointed date. He planned for just about everything except an unexpected marriage. Fran will do anything to protect her sister from the madman chasing them. Edgar and Fran battle against henchmen, Mother Nature, time, and one another in a tale that will tug at your heart and leave you wanting more. Lacy Williams has penned another great western romance that will stay in your heart and mind for a long while.
Don't you just love it when you can't put a book down and when the ending comes, you're smiling? This was a very good read although I did come across a poorly written sentence early on in the book that had me wondering where the editor was. The characters are lively, the setting real, the storyline cute and frankly I have enjoyed reading about the orphans in this family. I missed seeing the "mom" and dad in this story, but it would not have fit to have them in this storyline. You can't go wrong with a Lacy Williams story.
I look for boos that give me a feeling when I've finished it that I've had a full meal. You know like it can't get any better. Lol. And lacy Williams books give me that feeling. The only one that I was a little unhappy with was the one with the mud hut. It made me unnhappy. There wasn't much happiness in it until the last one third of it. It was meaty and interesting. But just wondering where's the joy. But I kept reading to see what would turn it arounnd. And bless her heart lacy pulled it off at the end. So I would recommend all of her books to my family and friends and do thank you lay Williams for your loving gift to us all.god bless you forever and a day. My name is Minnie eiswald.
